中文摘要 | 傳統之中文筆劃代表方示在勾勒筆劃之特性時往往必須對特徵詳加描述,這種特性於代表一完整之中文手寫字型時易造成龐大之資料庫。為了解決上述問題暨降低資料庫之大小,本文以區域性減化表示法來拮取每一筆劃在幾何上所代表之特性,配合原有型態結構表示法,原在區域性減化表示法時無法分辨之類似筆劃得以有效的加以區分。經實驗後手寫5,401中文常用字僅須112 Kbytes來儲存。這對降低資料之拮取時間及增進系統之效能有極大之助益。 |
英文摘要 | A new stroke based representation is proposed for handprinted Chinese characters. Conventional representation schemes for stroke based Chinese characters require detailed description of the selected features to portrait the characteristics of a stroke. This usually results in a large template database file to store the description of the entire Chinese character set. To overcome this problem, a reduced local representation is proposed to extract geometrical properties of each stroke. With the combination of structural primitives, the ambiguity between similar local representations can be reduced. As a result, the size of the database for storing 5,401 handprinted Chinese characters is 112 Kbytes. This may reduce the data retrieval time and improve the system performance. |
