中文摘要 | 被動式光纖網路系統(Passive Optical Network, PON)利用被動式元件,諸如分波多工 器、光分歧路等於分配網路中,能以較經濟的方式,提供光纖到路邊之服務。在本所所發展 的被動式光纖網路系統中,由主數位終端(Host Digital Terminal, HDT)往光網路終端(Optical Netwrok Unit, ONU) 的下行OC-1幹線為廣播式傳輸,而反向上行幹線則為多點接取式通訊。 本文內容旨在介紹PON 中所使用的分時多點接取(Time Division Multiple Access, TDMA)技 術。 文內將介紹一般性的系統的TDMA理念和議題,並探討將此通訊協定應用在SONET OC-1光幹線時衍生的考量。此外,對於PON系統中TDMA幹線模組的實際製作,亦透過碼 框結構、硬體動作,及關鍵部份的細部電路設計來加以敘述。 |
英文摘要 | Passive Optical Network (PON) provides a cost-effective means of deploying fiber To The Curb (FTTC) service, since the distribution network is only composed of passive components such as wavelength-division multiplexer and optical splitter. In the PON system developed by T.L., Host Digital Terminal (HDT) communicates with Optical Network Units (ONU) through a broadcasting OC-1 downstream trunk, while the reverse upstream is characterized as a multiple access communication. This paper is addressed to introduce the Time division Multiple access (TDMA) scheme used in the PON system. The paper surveys the principles and issues of a general TDMA system and investigates the design consideration when the protocol is applied in optical SONET OC-1 TRUNK. The implementation of TDMA trunk module in PON is also described by the frame structure, the hardware operation, and the circuit design of key blocks. |
