中文摘要 | 本研究的目的在以研究者自編的「資優女性的基本資料和生涯發展問卷」及「資優女性的生涯發展和重要他人的訪談指引」,探討資優女性的基本背景、生活態度、家庭生涯、教育生涯和職業生涯的發展情形。依據372位資優女性(年齡約在17歲至27歲之間)在「資優女性的基本資料和生涯發展問卷」上的填答內容,以及25位受訪的資優女性和其重要他人(5位資優女性和20位重要他人)的訪談資料的分析結果顯示,資優女性有其正向的人格特質,積極的學習態度,良佳的學習能力和較高的成就動機;其所經歷的家庭生涯、教育生涯和職業生涯都頗平順;其生涯歷程中的重要他人主要包括父親、母親、師長和同學等,且都能給予正向的影響;其所經歷的關鍵事件多半發生在求學時期(涵蓋小學到大學階段),至於關鍵事件所給予的影響則因個人的感受而有別。大部份的資優女性都不認為在其生涯歷程中會因性別的不同而受到父母、老師或上司的不同對待,但不否認身為女性有其有利於潛能發展的優點,也有不利於其潛能發展的缺點;對於所經歷的資優教育的感想,持正向和負向看法者頗相當,除了肯定資優教育的優點外,也提出資優教育需要改進之處。而資優女性的重要他人所提供的相關內容都頗能和資優女性自身的感受相符合。根據研究結果和討論,研究者提出教育上和未來研究的建議。 |
英文摘要 | This study explored family backgrounds, attitudes toward life, educational and occupational experiences of gifted young women by using two questionnaires and two interview guides created by the authers. Three hundred and seventy-two gifted young womn (ranging in age from 18 to 27 years of age) finished and returned their questionnaires, and twenty-five gifted young women and their significant others (five were gifted young women, twenty were their significant others) were interviewed by research assistant. Based on data analysis, the major results were: (1)The gifted young women had positive personality traits and learning attitudes, higher learning ability and achievement motivation; (2)Their family backgrounds were proper, and their attitudes toward life, educational and occupational experiences were stable; (3)The significant others in their life, including their fathers, mothers, teachers and peers/friends, influenced them positively; (4)Most of the significant life events they had experienced occurred in their school stage (from elementary level to college level), and the degree of the influence depended on how they felt/perceived the event; (5)Most of the gifted young women didn't think they had treated differently by their parents, teachers or bosses because of their sex roles. However, they admitted that their sex roles still affected their potential development positively as well as negatively; (6)They did have positive attitudes toward gifted education, however, they indicated that gifted education was needed to be improved and some suggestions were also given. In the meanwhile, the information of the related issues provided by the significant others of gifted young women is consistent with the gifted young women. According to the results, the author offered some suggestions for future gifted education and further study. |
