| 中文摘要 | 由於ASK調復機具有低成本及簡易的特點,VTN系統採用來傳送E1速率資料。在 試用其間,發現由於低價FP雷射二極體的特性值分佈太大,加上光纖網路內,接頭之施工品 質不佳,導致過高的雜訊及互調失真,從而使ASK 調復機之誤碼率過高。 要達到相同的誤碼率,PSK 系統較ASK 系統需求較低的傳輸功率。事實上,同調式PSK 系統在所有二位元數位調變方法中,具有最低的S/N要求。然而,它需要做同步解調,而載 波回復系統製作上較為困難及複雜。 本製作以一同調式BPSK調復機取代VTN中原有之ASK調復機。稍加修改傳送速率後, 亦用於VOD計劃中,用以傳送MPEG-1視訊信號。本論文述此BPSK調復機的設計與測量 等技術要點。 |
| 英文摘要 | Because of it's low cost and simplicity, ASK modem was chosen to transmit E 1-rate data for VTN (Video Trial Network) developed in TL. In the period of trial, we found-the large characteristics deviation of the low cost FP laser and the notqualified connectors used in the fiber network made the noise and IM distortion exceed our expectation. This resulted in too higher bit-error-rate of ASK modem. PSK system is superior to ASK system in that the former requires less transmitted power for a given error probability. In fact, coherent PSK system requires the least amount of power in all binary digital modulation method methods. However, it needs synchronous detection in which a carrier recovery circuirst is complicated and difficult to be built. This paper describes the design and measurement essentials of a BPSK modem. The coherent BPSK modem is designed and tested to replace the ASK modem in VTN. It will also be used in VOD (Video On Demand) project to transmit MPEG-1 Video. |
