英文摘要 | Compact Vocuum Insulation (CVI) is an innovative, thin section, high-vacuum insulation panel. It can be used in many applications such as refrigerator-freezer, cabins of airplanes, thermal battles, …etc. Since the geometry of the structure is complicated, a closed form solution is not possible so far. A computational method such as finite element or finite difference is the only possible solution. In this paper, the finite element model of the CVI will be addressed. The problem of the deformation of a thin plate over an array of spherical spacers made of glass and arranged in a hexageonal pattern also will be presented. The computation of the large deformation of the plates was addressed, introducing geometric nonlinearities. In order to make the results useful, curve fitting techniques need to be employed to derive second or higher order formulas to predict the maximum sag for a given pair of S and t. |
