中文摘要 | 本研究的目的,在於探討赫斯林頓的自然體育觀與美國自然體育的發展。本文採 歷史研究法,將蒐集之相關文獻資料,加以整理、分析、考證、比較與詮釋。其研究結果歸 結如後: 美國自然體育的興起與發展,因早期之體育指導者,較重視學生健康與發展,從事歐陸系統 的兵式體操,主要在發展肌力及維持正常的生理功能,主張提升衛生習慣及矯正身體的缺陷 。而在廿世紀初葉,美國體育實行了方向性的轉變,由所謂形式體操、器械體操、醫療體操 為主構成的學校體育計劃,邁向休閒化、競技化的方向轉變,為所謂的「新體育」。而有關 赫斯林頓自然體育觀(新體育觀),其自然體育的教育目標,包括「器官的教育」、「神經 運動的教育」、「品格教育」與「智能教育」等四方面。再者,有關赫氏心目中所指涉的「 自然體育」的課程與教材內容,包括自然的或遊戲性的活動,相對的活動,形式的或人為的 活動等三大類。氏並一再強調遊戲和競技運動的功能,尤其在 1922 年其所著『學校體育課 程計畫』乙書中,一再論及體育、遊戲與競技運動的教育功能與價值。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to investigate the point of view of natural physical education held by C.W. Hetherington and the devel-opment of natural physical education in the United States of America. By using historical research method, the related literature were coll-ected, organized, analyzed, confirmed, compared and explained. The f-ollowing results were found: Since the early physical education instructor emphasized on students health and development, military gymnastic of Europe system w-ere used. The main purpose of that is to maintain the normal physiol-ogical function and the muscle strength development. They asserted to improve the hygiene habit and correct the body defect. In the early twentieth century, the development of the physical education in the U-nited States change their direction from formulated gymnastic, aparat-os gymnastic, and therapeutic gymnastic in the school, to leisure and competitive oriented purposes, and was called " New Physical Education ". In regards to C.W. Hetherington concept of New Physical Education, his education goals include " organ education ", "psychomotor education ", " character education ", and " intelectual education ". Furthermore, in his curriculum and teaching material include natural or playing activity, relative activity, and human behavior activity. He emphasized the function of playing and competition in sports, particularly in his book " School Program in Physical Education". The function and valuation of education of physical education, playing and competition in sports were repeatedly discussed in his book. |
