中文摘要 | 臺灣地區的原住民各族群可歸類為 "少數民族",其人口數少,而傳統文化、經濟 收入、生活水準有其獨特性,少許有關原住民的研究更顯示原住民青少年有生活適應上的問 題。然而在大專學校中少見為原住民學生的相關輔導的規劃,因此本研究目的為探討護專原 住民新生學校適應之相關行為,希望以此研究結果作為原住民學生校園輔導的依據。本研究 係採三角交叉檢視,即以質量並進的方法收集資料。 長庚護專 122 名五專一年級原住民新 生及隨機抽取 122 名一般平地新生為調查對象,採校園常用學生輔導量表, 比較兩組新生 之人格測驗、自我概念、學校能力測驗、學習與讀書策略、行為困擾,以了解原住民新生與 一般新生是否有差異。並篩選其中 44 位原住民新生以半結構式訪談指引,進行深度訪談其 家庭、自我、人際、社交娛樂、讀書與學習、生涯以及社會資源方面的資料以進行質性的分 析。本研究之重要發現為原住民學生較少出現神經質的人格特質,而且其社會自我較高。在 語文、數學及空間能力三方面及讀書的態度與動機、閱讀理解、解決困難、考試策略等均顯 著低於一般平地生。在遷徙至平地學校環境中,由質的內容分析上發現學校適應方面,原住 民新生有矛盾、自卑、格格不入、擔心、迷惑的感覺,而感到困擾的事項為學校的適應。本 研究針對上述之研究結果,作為原住民學生之輔導規劃建議。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this triangulation study was to explore how indigenous freshmen adapt themselves to their lives in a junior nursing college. Hopefully, more effective counseling planning can be established and tailored to meet the needs of this particular group of students. Two different groups of freshmen: 122 indigenous and 122 non indigenous, were recruited to fill out certain measuring instruments about self-concept, academic performance, learning and studying strategy, and physical-psychological adjustment. The scores were then compared and analyzed by t-test. Among the 122 indigenous, 44 were designated to proceed insemi-structurd interviews with the researchers specially regarding their school adaptation and related family issues. Important findings were: (1) Academic performance was the issue tant concerned these students most. The result showed that indigenous students fell far behind non indigenous students in English, mathematics, space concept, learning motive, reading comprehension, problem solving and test taking skills. But, indigenous students generally scored higher in the aspect of "social-self", which indicated their strong confidence in their social ability. (2) According to a qualitative analysis on the contents of the semi-structured interviews, some indigenous students expressed the feelings of "conflict", "low self-esteem", "alienation", "worry" and "confusion". In other words, stress did exist on these relocated young aborigines during the crosscultural enounter, which the school authorities may keep in mind when laying out counseling planning. Based on the findings, the study presented a feasible direction for future indigenous students counseling planning. |
