中文摘要 | 紀昀(一七二四∼一八0五)是中國學術史上的重要人物,他以總纂《四庫全書》而聞名當代後世,一生精力,盡粹於斯。晚年「追錄舊聞」而撰成《閱微草堂筆記》乙書。中國傳統文人,其立身處世,大都以儒學為準據,沒有虔誠的宗教信仰,國史上也沒有長期出現一獨大的「制度宗教」,反倒是盛行於下層的各種「民間信仰」此起彼落,五花八門,且無孔不入。因此,文人宗教信仰,也就顯得雜亂無章,這正是中國宗教史上特徵之一,而這種現象正可從文人筆記小說中窺之。紀氏高才博學,喜講考據,學派上可歸入漢學,但他治學之餘,也喜談狐說鬼,晚年封筆之作《閱微草堂筆記》正完整呈現出他的神鬼世界觀。本文以宗教學的眼光,依序探討他的靈魂觀、神靈觀、狐仙觀,個人之宗教經驗,進而推敲流行於當時的各種宗教活動及民間信仰,間參以今天本地宗教信仰概況,以了解歷史傳承的原委。 |
英文摘要 | Chi Yun (1724-1805) was an important figure in Chinese academic history. He was famous for editing “Su Ku Chuan Shu” with lifetime devotion and energy. In later years, he wrote “Yueh Wei Tsao Tang Bi Chi” based on the stories he heard from others. Traditional Chinese intellectuals mostly lived by Confucian standards without having reverent religious beliefs. Not any “systmatic religion” was able to dominate Chinese history for a long time. Instead, a variety of “folklore religions” prospered and prevailed in the grass-root level. Therefore, the religious beliefs of Chinese intellectuals appeared mixed and disorderly, which was characteristic of Chinese religious history. Their 筆記小說 could shed some light on this situation. As a learned thinker, Chi Yun enjoyed doing textual reserch. His works were attributed to Han school. Basides that, he liked to talk about foxes and ghosts. His later work “Yueh Wei Tsao Tang Bi Chi” comprehensively presented his views on the world of gods and ghosts. On the basis of the science of religion, this paper is aimed to discuss Chi Yun's views on souls, gods, ghosts, foxgods, and his personal religious experiences. Furthermore, the paper evaluates various religious activities and folklore beliefs popular at that time. Current local religious beliefs are also in descussion. All of this will enable us to understand the details of historic heritage. |
