中文摘要 | 盤固草主要於4-10月生長,秋冬低溫且較旱季節,生長緩慢或停滯,草區雜草容易滋生,克育草比盤固草適於較低溫環境生長,本試驗之目的在探討兩草混植於同一草地後之生長競爭情形,以及周年栽培對雜草生長抑制之效果,結果摘要如下: 1.盤固草與克育草混植結果,其全年產草量雖未顯著增加,然其產草量較分散於全年各月份,使得低溫季節仍有一些青芻料可利用,有助於紓解本省冬季缺草之壓力。 2.盤固草與克育草混植後,由於兩草之最適生長季節不同,生長期間互有消長,可以有效周年抑制雜草,尤以盤固草A254與克育草混植效果最佳,可減少人工或藥劑除草之管理費用。 3.於盤固草區混植克育草後,仍可調製乾草供牛隻飼養利用,若於已建立之盤固草區揷值克育草,應提高克育草之種植比例,有助於混植草區之建立。 |
英文摘要 | In Taiwan, pangolagrass (Digitaria decumbens) is grown vigorously from april to October and stops growing at low temperature n dry season, however, the weeds grow fast in the pasture during the dry season. The kikuyugrass (Pennisetum clandestinnum Hochst.) grows more vigorously than pangolagrass at low temperature and more competitive to other species. A series of experiments were conducted to determine the effects of mixed planting of pangolagrass with kikuyugrass on growth competition andinhibition effect on weeds through out the year. The results are srmmarized as follows: 1. The yearly yield of forage from mixed planting was not significantly higher than that produced by pure stands, either pangolagrass or kikuyugrass. However, the forage produced from mixed planting was more evenly distributed through out the seasons. It might be helpful to provide some forage to feed animals in winter. 2. Since pangolagrass grew vigorously during spring and summer seasoms and kikuyugrass grew vigorously during fall and winter seasons, they were able to inhibit miscellaneous weeds under the planting condition, especially under the mix planting of pangolagrass line A254 and kikuyugrass. Mixed planting of pangolagrass and kikuyugrass may be a good method of controlling weeds for pasture. 3. The hay made from the mixed swards is acceptable for cattle feeding. In order to establish the mixed sward efficiently, it was suggested to increase the planting ratio of kikuyugrass to pangolagrass while interplanting kikuyugrass in the pangolagrass pasture. |
