英文摘要 | The analysis of flow and thermal transport from a flat plate moving through flowing power-law fluids is presented. A relative velocity parameter is proposed to serve as a controlling parameter that determines the relative magnitude of the velocity of plate and the free stream velocity. Furthermore, the coordinates and dependent variables are transformed to yield computationally efficient numerical solutions that are valid over the entire regime of convective heat transfer from a power-law fluid free stream flowing over a stationary flat plate (γ=0) to a moving flat plate in a quiescent power-law fluid (γ=1). The effects of the relative velocity parameter, the power-law viscosity index and the generalized Prandtl number on the velocity profiles, the temperature distributions and the heat transfer rates are clearly illustrated. |
