中文摘要 | 本文目的在嘗試利用解釋取向的教育社會學理論,探討香港大學中文教學的發展。 其中特別注意到社會、學校、個人的因素,如何影響到推行教育改革。並且強調其外在客觀 環境,與內在主觀意志間的互動作用,從而取得平衡。顯示推示一項教育改革,必須配合客 觀環境的限制,才能達致合理性結果。由於香港的特殊背景,香港大學創立不久,便開始設 立中文科,其後經過成立中文學院、1935年的改革,表面看來只是教育政策的調整,但是從 整體而言,便可發覺這些變動,在在與國際關係、地區情況、以至人事變動發動關係。反過 來說,由於香港大學中文學院具有特殊的地位,因此通過不同歷史階段的比較研究,更有助 拓大視角,進一步瞭解當時的歷史情況。 |
英文摘要 | The main objective of this paper is to examine to development of Chinese language education in the University of Hong Kong (HKU) by using the interprttaive approach, which is noe of the theories of educational sociology. On the one hand, I focus on several interacting factors, including the society, the institution and the individual, in order to examine their influence on the content, policy and implementation of the educational reform. On the other hand, I emphasize that there was an interaction between the objective condition of the society and the subjective will of the individual, and this interaction would finally maintain an equilibrium. Therefore, reformers hand to harmonize with the objective condition so as to carry out the reform policy efficiently and obtain a rational result. Because of the special background of Hong Kong, the University has offered courses of Chinese language since the very beginning of its history. During the period 1912-1935, there were several "milestones" in the development of Chinese language education, such as the establishment of the school of Chinese, the Reform in 1935. These "milestones" indicate not only just the simple change of policy, but the reflection of the change of international relation, regional situation, and personnel. Thus, by placing the development of the Chinese Language educationion in the HKU in a broader, historical context, I hope that his can enlarge our historical perspective when understanding Hong Kong history. |
