中文摘要 | Benzalkonium chloride (BKC)常用以改善養殖池水,但其對於藻類作用的有效 濃度仍不明瞭。本研究是為了解BKC對於藻類生長的影響,選用四種不同的藻類作為BKC效 用的指標:Tetraselmis chui, Chaetoceros. grocilis, Chlorella sp. and Isochrysis galbana。結果顯示BKC濃度為0.5 ppm時對四種藻類均不產生作用,其濃度要高於1.O ppm對藻類才有抑制作用。當BKC濃度遞減至0.5 ppm以下時已無法有效抑制藻類的生長。 四種藻類以Chlorella sp.對BKC最不敏感,Tetraselmis chui, Chaetoceros gracilis galbana。在BKC濃度為1.5 ppm時抑制作用可持續三天,而Chlorella sp.則在濃度為 2.O ppm始有相同的抑制效果。因此建議BKC對於藻類作用的有效濃度為1.5 ppm。 |
英文摘要 | Benzalkonium chloride (BKC) is popularly used to control growth of algae in aquacultural ponds. However, little is known about its effective concentration. We studied the effects of BKC on growth of different algae at a 600-liter scale. Tetraselmis chui, Chaetoceros gracilis, Chlorella sp. and Isochrysis galbana were used for the study. At a concentration of 0.5 ppm BKC was found to have no effect on growth of these four species. BKC at concentration higher than 1.0 ppm repressed the growth of algae. The algae resumed to grow as BKC was degraded to lower than 0.5ppm. Among the four species, Chlorella sp. Was the least sensitive to BKC. For T. chui, C. gracilis and I. Galbana, growth was repressed the BKC concentration of 1.5 ppm after exposure 3 days. Similar effect appeared at BKC concentration of 2.0 ppm for Chlorella sp.. Therefore, we suggest that the BKC at a concentration of 1.5 ppm is considered for algae control. |
