英文摘要 | An "internal variables" friction model which takes into account the different lubrication regimes occurring at the sheet/tooling interface was developeed in this work. Friction was expressed in terms of internnal variables (e.g. lubricant film thickness, sheet roughness and tooling roughness) and the more conventional external variables (e.g. interface pressure, sliding speed and strain rate). The new model was coupled with an existing elastic-plastic finite element analysis to simulate the axisymmetric stretch forming operation. A series of experiments were conducted to investigate the validity of this friction model. The experimental parameters include the lubricant viscosity, tooling velocity and composite surface roughness. The strain distributions were measured to make a comparison with the simulation results. Numerical results using the coupled codes correlated sufficiently with the measured strain. |
