| 英文摘要 | Marx adopted the dialectical mode of logic from Hegel (Hegel, 1807/1967; 1821/1967). It was within this dialectical thinking he developed his idea of history and the importance of studying historical events in their historical context. Whereas Hegel embedded his dialectical mode of logic in ideas, Marx embedded his analysis in the material world. It is this crucial transformation of moving the dialectical thinking out of the realm of philosophy and into the realm of a science of social relations that made Marx most relevant to sociology (Ritzer, 1992). The dialectical method of analysis does not see a simple, one way, cause-and-effect relationship among the various components of the social world. To dialecticians, one factor influences another factor (factors), and most likely this latter factor has simultaneous effect on the former one (ones). So unlike causeand-effect thinkers who think one social force causes another social force, dialectical thinkers see two forces having a reciprocal relationship. Besides taking the dialectical approach from Hegel, Marx also took the idea of materialism from Feuerbach (Ritzer, 1992). He thinks social reality lies only in nature and physical things. Marx argued that the economic factor is the fundamental determinant of the structure and the development of society, and that economic structure shapes and limits the secondary institutions like government, law, and ideology. The secondary institutions should not be taken as their own logic, they should be viewed as reflections of the economic position, and the interests of the ruling class. |
