中文摘要 | 馮友蘭先生在學術界一向以尊孔和復興儒學著稱,其「新理學」體系被認為是新程朱、新儒學。一九七三、七四年馮先生積極參加批孔,引起了學術界的震驚、疑惑、憤概,以至譴責。為什麼馮會如此?本文對此進行了初步探討,認為馮先生本質上從來不是真正尊孔的。一九二○、三○年代,馮先生的《中國哲學史》實際上是貶孔的,屬於「古文經學」的孔子觀。一九四○年代其「新理學」體係也並非新程朱,而是西方哲學在中國的翻版。其「天地境界」與道家相接近。故一九七○年代馮先生批孔並非由尊孔突變為批孔。問題在於,馮在否定自己一九六○年代的學術觀點時,迎合政治需要,不顧個人學術和人格的尊嚴,修辭以偽。這固然是威逼利誘所致,但也是一種曲學阿世,表現了知識分子劣根性的一面,是值得引為教誡的。 |
英文摘要 | Before the 1970's, Feng Yu-lan had always been considered a Confucian proponent. Thus, his active role in anti-Confucian campaign stunned the entire intellectual world. In this study, the author tries to demonstrate that Feng never really embraced Confucian teachings in his early writings, such as chung-kuo che-hsueh shih and Hsin-li-hsueh.Thus, Feng's deeds in 1973-4 did not represent a major break with his earier beliefs but were in fact consistent with them. |
