英文摘要 | This work is to extend the finite element alternating technique developed by the authors for solving two dimensional fracture problems with multiple internal cracks to the problem containing multiple edge cracks under mixed boundary conditions. To use the same analytical solution derived, even type tractions are taken on the fictitious crack lying outside of the bounded plate. By this technique developed, a very simple conventional finite element mesh is sufficient to compute accurate mixed-mode stress intensity factors. This work provides an accurate an economic way to deal with two dimensional edge crack problems. |
