中文摘要 | 本研究的目的在探討國中學生學習活動或教育歷程中的父母參與情形,以及此種參與情形與其家庭社經背景及學生學業成就的關係,藉以了解社會階層影響教育成就的中介歷程。經以分層隨機抽樣法抽取三十六所國中,選出3138名國一學生及2962名學生家長為對象,進行實際的調查與分析後,共得三項主要的結果:第一,父母在子女學習活動中的參與情形因其家庭社經背景而有不同,且學生所知覺的父母參與較父母的實際參與更能反應此種情形;第二,國中學生的父母參與情形與學生學業成就具有密切的關係,且學生所知覺的父母參與較父母的實際參與更能解釋學生學業成就的變異;第三,父母參與、個人因素及家庭背景因素對學生學業成就均具有解釋能力,其中個人因素的解釋力最大 (含智力與努力程度),家庭背景因素次之,父母參與的解釋力最小。唯除去父母參與的可能影響後,前兩項的解釋力便相對減低。此外家庭背景因素與個人因素及父母參與均其有密切的關係,亦有其重要的地位。基於此種發現,本研究提出善用父母參與的影響、加強學校與家庭的聯繫、增加父母參與的課程、及繼續親職教育的推動等建議,藉供教師、學校、師範教育及教育行政當局的參考。以共同提高教育的成效,進而促進教育機會的均等。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to investigate the interrelationship in students' family socioeconomic backgrounds, parent involvement, and students' academic achievements in junior high school. The subjects included 3138 students and 2962 Students' parents from 36 junior high schools in Taiwan through the stratified cluster sampling. Two questionnaires were devised to measure students' perceived parent involvement in their learning process and parents' really involvement respectively. The first result of this study indicated that students' family socioeconomic backgrounds were positively related to the types and degrees of parent involvement, no matter what students' perceived parent involvement or parents' really involvement. The second results of this study was that parent involvement, especially participation in children examination activities were significantly related to students' academic achievement. The last result of this study revealed that various ∞mbinations of the predictors (family backgrounds factors, personal factors and all kinds of parent involvements) accounted for significant portions of the variance of students' academic achievements. Reasults are compared with earlier findings and implication for enhancing educational outcomes and reducing the inequality of educational opportunity are discussed. |
