英文摘要 | Rotational autokeratoplasty provides an alter-native in treating nonprogressive corneal lesionswhich sit near the visual axis and impair the vision. To determine the parameters which are essential inplanning rotational autokeratoplasty, we conducted the calculations based on the mathematical rationale. From our results, these crucial parameters, including the optimal placement of the trephine center, the most appropriate trephine size, and the extent of the optical zone available postoperatively could be easily obtained before the surgery. Our analysis revealed that when the shortest distance between the scar and the geometric center of the cornea ranged from 0.5 to 2 millimeter, these patients could be good candidates to receive such treatment modality. Following our theoretical results, two cases underwent the rotational autokeratoplasty were illustrated. |
