中文摘要 | 在臺灣西南部上新--更新世兩個海相沉積剖面中(曾文溪與二仁溪剖面),以X光繞射分析法鑑定出三種主要的磁性礦物:磁鐵礦(Magnetites,Fe�記�瓷^,等軸磁硫鐵礦(暫譯)(Greigites,Fe�訕�瓷^及磁硫鐵礦(Pyrrhotites ,FeS�活A0 < X < 1)。它們的產狀與岩性有著密切的關連。等軸磁硫鐵礦主要出現於細粒粒的泥岩,磁鐵礦常出現於砂質多的岩層,而磁硫鐵礦則以泥質粉砂岩為主,其岩性介乎上兩者之間。根據磁性礦物的組群,曾文溪及二仁溪剖面可分出五個及三個磁性礦物帶。在以等軸磁硫鐵礦為主的地層中,其自然殘磁及磁感率的測值較磁鐵礦為主的地層為高。我們認為磁鐵礦是碎屑源且經成岩作用而殘存下來,至於等軸磁硫鐵礦及磁硫鐵礦則屬自生源,應為沉積後不久所形成。 |
英文摘要 | Three major magnetic minerals, magnetites (Fe�記��), greigites (Fe�訕��)and pyrrhotites (FeS��,0<X<1) were identified by X-ray diffraction analysis from two Plio-Pleistocene marine-deposited sections (Tsengwen-chi and Erhjen-chi) in southwestern Taiwan. It is found that the occurrence of these magnetic minerals is intimately associated with lithology. Greigites are prevalent in fine-grained mudstones, magnetites become dominant in highly sandy formations and pyrrhotites occur in the muddy siltstones which are intermediate in lithology between mudstones and sandstones. Based on magnetic mineral assemblages, five and three zones were classified in the Tsengwen-chi and the Erhjen-chi sections respectively. In the greigite-dominant zones, natural remanent magnetizations and low field magnetic susceptibilities are generally higher than those in the magnetite-dominant zones. It is proposed that magnetites were detrital and were survived from diagenesis, while greigites and pyrrhotities were authigenic and were formed soon after sediment deposition. |
