英文摘要 | Metamorphosed andesites/dacites from the Tananao Schist Complex in the Tungao area, northeastern Taiwan were collected and analyzed for their major-and trace-element, as well as oxygen-isotope compositions. The results show that all samples are high in Na�烙 content (from 6.28 to 10.57%) and δ�XO value (form +9.9 to +14.3 o/oo, attesting that these metamorphosed volcanics have been subjected to low-temperature alteration/metamorphism (i.e., keratophyrization). The coherent variations between LREE (light rare earth element) and HFSE (high field strength element) among samples, however, indicate that these elements may have been immobile during alteration /metamorphism. Two metamorphosed andesites, with lower Na�烙 content and δ�XO value, are suggested to be least altered among all samples studied. The immobile-element compositions of these two samples share similar chemical characteristics with those of the modern oceanic island-arc medium-K calcalkaline andesites. There are two amphibolite bodies, occuring south of the metamorphosed andesite/dacite, in the Tungao area. Their chemical and isotopic characteristics have been reported to be similar to those of the modern oceanic island-arc medium-K tholeiite (Weber-Diefenbach et al., 1980; Yui et al., 1990). The low δ�XO values (from +3.2 to +7.4o/oo) of these amohibolites (Chu and Shieh, 1981) indicate that their protoliths may have experienced high-temperature seawater-rock interaction. Whether the amphibolite and the metamorphosed andesite/dacite are genetically related or not, they repesent relics of different depth levels of an ancient oveanic island arc(s). |
