中文摘要 | 教育生產函數(EPF)是描述教育過程中將配置於教育部門的資源轉換成 教育成果的一個公式,其運用的主要目的是在促進教育資源的有效分配。有關這 方面的研究如汗牛充棟,然大多數的研究均將其重心放在中小學教育上,在高等 教育上者則甚為少數。在本篇報告中,研究者假設高等教有生產函數的存在,說 明其公式,指出函數的主要變項;此外,並以我國高等教有為背景發展了一個假 設的高等教育生產函數,指出其產出與投入,說明每一變項的測量方法,解釋投 入與產由問的關係及影響;最後,研究者設計了一個實證研究來測試批假設的高 等教育生產函數。 |
英文摘要 | Educational Production Function (EPF) is a formula, describing the educational process, that transforms selected resources allocated to an educationsetting into the results of education. The major purpose of applying EPF is topromote efficient allocation of resources within the educational sector. Numerous studies and researches have been conducted in educational input-outputanalysis. Most of the studies, however, have focused their attentions in theproduction function of elementary and secondary educational sectors. Veryfew studies are on the production function in higher education. In this paper, I presumed the existence of an EPF in Higher Education,specified the general formulation of such an EPF, and identified the major categories of input variables in the equation. In addition, I created a hypotheticalEPF for higher education in the form of an empirical equation in which theoutput and inputs were identified, particular measures for each of the groups of input variables were specified, and explained the strength and direction ofthe relationship between the output and each of the elements in the hypothetical EPF equation and why it was included. The expected relationship betweeneach of the input measure and the output measure-why and how the input measure affects learning in 'higher education-was described. Finally, an empirical study was outlined to test my proposed EPF, indicating data gathering procedures and analytical methodology. |
