英文摘要 | Study of process variables of plasma arc welding have been performed on Inconel 718 plates byusing keyhole mode welding. The effects of welding current and orifice gas flow rate (OGFR) on thequality of welds have also been evaluated. In the case of pulsed current welding, several other additionalparameters such as amplitude, frequency, duration ratio, and spot spacing were taken into considerationin the investigation. The results indicate that the increase of OGFR decreased both the heat input andthe working current range in the constant current welding. However, if OGFR exceeded a cer*..in criticalvalue, underfill or intrinsic undercut of the weld would be resulted. In pulsed current weding, undercuttended to appear as the current amplitude increased. To assure a sound weld, the riot spacing shouldbe made to keep keyhole approximately 50 overtapping at the backeronnd rent level. |
