英文摘要 | Formulas of computing reflection loss are derived from two-ray model theory of radio wave propagation including reflected wave in a radio link to predict the received power loss due to interference from reflection. Results of numerical calculation indicate that the maximum reflection loss at any radio frequency is found to increase with increasing the antenna gain correction factor for the reflected wave if the antenna gain correction factor is greater than 0.1 regardless of the elevation of reflection point. If the antenna gain correction factor is nearly equal to one, no signal power will be received in case of maximum reflection loss. The reflection loss at any radio frequency in negligible if the antenna gain correction factor is less that 0.1 regardless of the elevation of reflection point. Reflection loss at any radio frequency is found to follow a periodic change with elevation of the receiving or transmitting antenna radiation center, or the radio link length, or the elevation of reflection point; and the period for the periodic change of reflection loss is found to decrease with increasing radio frequency. |
