英文摘要 | Aluminum base alloys containing 1.6~3.2wt lithium and 3.4 wt magnesium have beencast and rolled. Lithium additions result in increasing elastic modulus arid strength as well asdecreasing density. Although the precipitation of δ' phase can strengthen A1-Li alloys, it adversely reduces their ductility. In this experiment, effects of Li content and thermomechanical treatments on mechanical properties of the A1-Li-Mg alloys were investigated. Precipitation behaviorwas also examined by transmission electron microscopy. The experimental results showed that the yield strength and tensile strength of the alloysincreased with Li content along with a gradual loss in ductility. The nucleation rate of δ' phasewas very fast, while the growth rate decreased as the aging time increased. In the meantime,the width of precipitate free zone (PFZ) also increased, and the formation of PFZ was a solutedepletion mechanism. In comparison with T6 temper treatment, T8 treatment with 10 coldrolled could improve yield strength but reduce ductility of the alloys, which is due to the fasterand more intensive precipitation of δ' phase in the latter. It was also found that δ' phase nucleated and grew readily at the AlaZr/matrix interfaces, which resulted in the formation of composite precipitates Al��(Zr.Li). |
