中文摘要 | 套管型充膠光纜為美園AT & T公司新近開發成功之一種新型光纜,國內聯合光纖公司於1987年引進生產提供各界使用。 在充膠光纜中,優良的膠體可在不同環境下提供良好的緩衝外力作用、防止光纖微白現象(microbending)及防水等功效;因此,膠體品質之優劣對光纖本身及其傳輸特性影響甚鉅,而滴下試驗即在測試膠體在較高溫之環境下,於光纜中所產生的流動及變化情形,以界定充膠光纜體之品質。 本文為提供總局訂定充膠光纜滴下特性試驗規格之參考,對不同滴下溫度、滴下量、滴下物及其他試驗條件對合理性進行一系列研究;試驗結果認為,充膠光纜滴下試驗以70℃為滴下溫度,加熱一天後滴下量在總充膠量之5%之內最為合理,實驗同時發現,滴下物材質已與原膠體不同,顯示膠體有相分離現象產生。 |
英文摘要 | Lightpack Filled Optical Fiber Cable, a new fiber optic cable developed by AT & T Co. in U.S.A. was introduced and manufactured by U.F.O.C. since 1987. Filling compound is used to buffer against extraforce, avoid microbending and prevent water ingress. So, it can affect the mechanical and transmission properties directly. Flow test is used to investigate flowing behavior of filled compound under high temperature environment. In this paper, various flossing properties at several temperatures were studied and the results were presented as a recommendation for DGT in revision specification of filled fiber optic cable. According to our results, the recommended test temperature, heating time and maximum dropping amount shall be 70℃, 24 hours and 5% respectively, and phase separation phenomenon of compound was also found. |
