英文摘要 | In order to enlarge the capacity of the Tele-Voice Messaging system, to provide more voice ports and more system users, a significant modification has been made in the system design both in hardware and software architecture of the TVM voice mail system. Reconfiguration of the system has much improved its stability and made it highly reliable and maintainable. In hardware architecture, we use distributed voice processing techniques. The voice processing modules are independent from each other, and the administration modules are fully duplexed, the one is active and the other is online standby. All the modules are connected with the Ethernet network. A VP module controls eight voice ports for call processing, and each VP module has a hard disk for voice data storage which can also be accessed by one of its neighboring VP module. In software architecture, the data base was designed in the way of partial replicated in VM modules but central controlled in AM module. For processing a target number of calls, all the transactions are shortened and the intermodule communication are minimized. The data base are updated simultaneously both in active and standby AM module, so that the standby module can replace the active one and take over the control of the system operation, in case the active module is malfunctioned due to some unknown reasons. |
