| 英文摘要 | A method to minimize the total reaction time by considering piecewise constant temperature profile in N unequal time intervals is developed by use of the method of Lagrangian multiplier for the thermally-initiated batchwise polymerization of styrene under the preset initial and final monomer conversions and final average molecular weight. The proposed piecewise temperature policy overcomes the difficulty in temperature control of sharp increasing in temperature at the later stage of polymerization in the optimal continuous temperature policy. Numerical calculations of some examples are presented for demostrating the characteristic of the proposed method. |
