英文摘要 | This biotelemeter for the monitoring of human and animal temperature consists of a carrier oscillator, a bootstrapping emitter follower, and a subcarrier oscillator, SCO, in which a temperature probe (Rth) is contained. The SCO is a free-running multivibrator. The probe Rth is a thermistor, sensor used in the SCO as a resistance of the RC time constants which determine the SCO frequency ƒs. Since ƒs is nearly proportional to the temperature of the sensor, it can be calibrated in terms of the measured temperature. The hermitically sealed temperature probe has operated for 5 months without exhibiting moisture-penetration effects. The multivibrator output pulse is applied to the carrier oscillator, so that the VHF frequency-modulated (FM) radio wave is produced and transmitted from the antenna. The FM receiver will receive the radio signal which will be detected and indicated by the output device. The temperature sensitivity is seen to be a 3% change in frequency per degree centigrade. The telemeter has an effective communication distance of 3-5 meters by using a silver-oxide cell. |
