英文摘要 | A proposed whiteness formula W=(5B-3G-A+100) /2, which is based on tristimulus values corresponding more closely to the visual impression, can be applied successfully in the evaluation of whiteness of tinted white papers. The yellowish tint of white filled or unfilled papers can be removed with the help of violet dyestuffs, i.e., Direct Violet 51 and Basic Basazol Violet 40 L used in this study, for which absorb yellow and red light of longer wavelengths. This will approximate the reflectance curve to that of a neutral white Besides, the whiteness of paper can be increased by the addition of a small amount of bright green dyestuff (Basic Basazol Green 20 L), i.e., 1/3~1/2 of the amount of violet dyestuff (Basic Basazol Violet 40 L) and violet dyestuff. Bleached white paper Pulps which themselves have a higher reflectance than that of unbleached paper pulps can be effectively tinted by shading dyestuffs and appear more white than unbleached ones. |
