英文摘要 | Evaluation is a long-range, systematic and constant process. It uses scientific methods and applies all kinds of data and techniques to value feasible ways as a basis for decision making and improvement. The purposes of the guidance evaluation in junior high school are - through self-study in a school itself, inter-evaluation among schools, and professional evaluation - to assess to what extent the guidance service of a junior high school works, furthermore, to explore where and how to improve it, and to bring guidance service into full play. Guidance evaluation may systematically utilize professional knowledge and technology, and it must be objective. The purpose of this study is to investigate how to improve the guidance evaluation in junior high school for continual progress and renovation. This study explored four questions: 1) Related theories of evaluation. 2) Actual affair of guidance evaluation. 3) Actual situation of guidance evaluation in junior high school in our country. 4) Synthesize results and propose new strategy. Theory-analysis and survey method are used. At first, this study theoretically explored related 1iteratureof educational evaluation, realized its implication and significance, furthermore, understood the actual affair of guidance evaluation respectively, then used them as a basis to discuss the practical situation of guidance evaluation in junior high school. To make this study more objective, this study is added by questionaire to know the relation of school faculties and to provide references for improvement. This paper is devided to nine chapters: Chapter Ⅰ: Introduction Chapter Ⅱ: Concepts and methods of educational evaluation Chapter Ⅲ: Principles and process of educational evaluation Chapter Ⅳ: Patterns of educational evaluation Chapter Ⅴ: Actual affair of guidance evaluation Chapter Ⅵ: Actual situation of the guidance evaluation in junior high school in our country. Chapter Ⅶ: Design of study and implementation Chapter Ⅷ: Data analysis Chapter VIIII: Conclusion and recommendations Based on the related literature and data analysis, the couclusion are: 1) For the need of guidance evaluation, it has positive meaning theoretically- the reaction of the questionaire supported this idea, too. Most people thought that guidance evaluation was necessary, and it had to be carried out alone. 2) It must hypothesize some more significant criteria. Meanwhile, because of the difference among school, it is necessary to establish a set of objective, substantical and elastic criteria. 3) The object of evaluation is to improve, not to prove good or bad. Therefor, the evaluated units had a intense trend and hope to get assistance to resolve their problems. 4) In the past, guidance evaluation emphasized on the imformation on the paper. But the investigation showed that most people thought, from now on, guidance evaluation should pay attention to both spiritual and material domain simultaneously. 5) Guidance evaluation should consider both subjectivity and objectivity simultaneously, and pay much attention to the measurement of process and outcome. Patterns of evaluation should be multiple, so the function and effect of evaluation would work out completely. 6) Based on the data, most people thought that the qualities of the evaluators influenced the evaluation very much. 7) The object of evaluation is to make improvement. The results of evaluation should be applied carefully. It is necessary to make a plan for the follow-up guidance service. Recomemdations areas the following: 1) Consider the time of evaluation deliberatively 2) Establish substatial criteria 3) Consider the spiritual and the material evaluation simultaneously 4) Adopt the competency-based evaluation 5) Promote to execute self-study 6) The resu1ts should be treated and applied deliberatively 7) Organize a circulating team of guidance evaluation 8) Cultivate and train the evaluators 9) “Detailed executive requlations of compulsory education law” should be put into force as soon as possible. Guidance evaluation in junior high school is the begining of modem educational evaluation in our country and the starting point of the renovation of compulsory education, too. It goes without saying, guidance evaluation has significant influence on the development of guidance service. The development of education is endless. I sincerely hope that this study has a practical contribution to prompte the renovation and the progress of guidauce service. |
