英文摘要 | Diblock copolymer of α-methylstyrene and butadiene is synthesized with n-BuLi as an initiator. Toluene is the solvent and THF as the accelerator. Trace amount of THF in polymerization solution will increase 1, 2-addition of poly- butadiene block greatly. However, the yields of 1, 2 addition polybutadiene will level off gradually as the amount of THF increases continuously. Electron micro- scopic texture and viscoelasticity of diblock copolymer samples cast from THF, toluene, benzene and CCl₄ are studied. Two peaks are observed in the dynamic mechanical loss (tan δ) curve at -27 and 145℃ which are attributed to the segmental motion of polybutadiene and poly-α-methylstyrene, respectively, and the activated energy for the latter peak is 145.8kcal/mol. It proves the microphase separation of the block copolymer. Different electron microscopic textures are observed for the same sample cast from different solvents. It is because each solvent has its own preferable interaction with the block segments. |
