中文摘要 | Fiedler的領導方式和領導情境交互影響的理論是目前心理學上最重要的領導理論之一,而最不喜歡工作伙伴(LPC)量表則是 Fiedler賴以衡量一個領導者之領導方式最重要的工具。本研究的目的係以499名我國現職教育行政人員及教師為對象,探討LPC量表的幾個特徵。研究結果發現:(1)LPC量表是由三個因素所組成的,而非如Fiedler所隱示的是由一個單一因素所組成,(2)我國受試者每四個人就有一個他所評定的LPC,不是真實人物而是刻板印象,(3)刻板印象者不但使受試者各種 LPC分數過分偏低,而且容易使LPC分數與其他各變項之相關,產生偏差。(4)刻板印象出現之比率女多於男;無行政職務者多於有行政職務者;年輕的多於年長的。這些比率的差異主要可能歸因於領導經驗的多寡,(5)非刻板印象者自我概念愈佳,其對LPC的能力和信心的評價愈低。 針對上述現象,本研究提出了幾個改進LPC量表的辦法,藉以解決 Fiedler領導效率理論在目前所遭遇的困難。 |
英文摘要 | Fiedler's contingency model is one of the most important theories of leadership effectiveness in modern psychology. According to this model, the leader's contribution to group effectiveness is dependent upon both the leadersip style and the situation. The leadership style is measured by the Least Preferred Coworker (LPC) Scale. The present study was to investigate several characteristics of the LPC scale. A total of 499 Chinese school administrators and school teachers served as subjects. The major findings are as flollows: (1) There are three dimensions in the LPC scale instead of one. (2) About 1"> of the sample had not rated a real person on the LPC scale, but had, instead, rated a stereotyped object. (3) The percentage of the stereotypers varies with the kind of groups. The female was higher than the male; the school teacher was higher than the school administrator; and the younger was higher than the older. The differences between these percentages may be due to leadership experiences. (4) The stereotyper obtained lower LPC scores than then on stereotyper. There were differential effects of sex, age, possession of administration position upon the LPC scores for these two groups. (5) For the nonstereotyper, the better the self concept,the lower his rating about his LPC's abilities and self-confidence. |
