| 英文摘要 | Single units in the lateral reticular formation of medulla oblongata of urethane-anesthetized cats were tested for their response to changes in local medullary temperature and for their response to norepinephrine (NE) and actylcholine (ACh). These transmitter substances were applied iontophortically onto the cells using five-barreled micropipettes. Since we are the first grup of investigators to use the microionto-phretic technique in the Republic of China, therefore, the methods and the practical problems of microiontophoresis were described and discussed in detail. Spontaneous activities of neurons either sensitive or insensitive to temperature changes were recorded extracellularly. Both thermally sensitive and insensitive units ere excited by Ach. On the other hand, NE was shown to have differential effects on these medullary reticular neurons. About 73% of temperature-sensitive neurons were inhibited by NE and the other neurons tested were unaffected. None of the neurons tested was excited by NE. These observations implicate both NE and Ach may speicifically related to synaptic transmitter process in afferent pathway to the medullary temperature sensitive neurons. |
