| 英文摘要 | Confucius, who was not so much a philosopher as a teacher of priniples of conduct, tried to teach man how to behave virtuously and in accordance with his station ia life. He meant his teachings for all of society, without discrimination on the basis of sex, age, class, or race. Confucianism, as the backbone of Chinese cultural and historical tradition, lays great emphasis on the role of the family as the foundation of the development of the individual, and aims at the harmony of man and nature. Confucianism is humanism in essence, as well as a combination of science and religion. Therefore, it can avoid the tyranny of science and technology over man, and the conflict between science and religion. Since benevolence is of the first importance in dealing with men, it is an effective weapon against communism and capitalism, while serving as a practical guide for the development of an ideal world. |
