英文摘要 | A feeding trial was conducted to determine the optimum fineness of feedstuffs for growing and fattening swine. Thirty-six weanling hybrid pigs were alloted on the basis of litter, sex and initial weight into 9 groups of 3 treatments. The pigs were fed on : (1) mixed ration, 90% or more, passed through 10 mesh sieve (1.651 mm in diameter), (2) mixed ration, 90% or more, passed through 14 mesh sieve (1.168 mm in diameter), and (3) mixed ration, 80% or more passed through 20 mesh sieve (0.833 mm in diameter). This trial was ended at the liveweight of pigs reaching 90 kg. The pigs fed ration 3 gained more rapidly than did the pigs fed on the other two rations but not significantly (0.657, 0.653 and 0.640 kg., respectively). Feed and cost required per kg. of grain were as follows: ration 1-3.365 kg., NT$14.71, ration 2-3.267 kg., NT$14.33, and ration 3-3.269 kg., NT$14.36. The pigs fed on mixed ration passed through 14 mesh sieve, 90% or more, gained more economically apparently. This result is close to that of BECKER amd JENSEN of Illinois University (1964). |
