| 英文摘要 | Among modern anthologies of Song poetry, Qian Zhongshu’s 錢鍾書 (1910–1998) The Selected and Annotated Song Poetry 宋詩選注, published in 1958, has long been held in high regard. While the book has enhanced scholarly attention towards Song poetics and invigorated related research, it has also given rise to enduring controversy. One notable issue is Qian’s shift from the admiration for Song Poetry expressed in his earlier work On the Art of Poetry 談藝錄 to his vehement critiques of the poetic principles of the Jiangxi Poetry School 江西詩派. Previous studies have predominantly focused on the positionality of Qian without carefully examining his specific descriptions of the Jiangxi Poetry School. This article reconsiders how Qian actually handled this topic within the anthology. It argues that, in opposing the doctrines advocated by the Jiangxi Poetry School, Qian further questioned the affiliations of its members commonly with this group, emphasizing their independent characteristics and expressing dissatisfaction and divergence from the school. In other words, he seeks to ignore the framework of the socalled school, thereby challenging the long-standing notion within academia that regards the poetry school as the base of Song poetry. This critical stance deserves renewed scholarly attention. |
