| 英文摘要 | Engaging Paul Ricoeur's theories of metaphor and limit experience as its analytical framework, this article examines how Christian believers perceive the "Kingdom of God" through the parables of Jesus. It explores the paradoxical nature of parables as fictional and mundane narratives that simultaneously point toward extraordinary and sacred truths. The study critiques traditional allegorical interpretations, which assign specific symbolic meanings to each detail, as well as Adolf Jülicher's view of parables as extended similes conveying a single moral lesson. Instead, it underscores Ricoeur's understanding of metaphor as semantic innovation, emphasising its capacity to redefine reality through the semantic tension created by juxtaposing incongruous terms. In particular, this article argues that the strange exaggerations within Jesus' parables serve as catalysts for "limit experiences" inside believers' reading. These expressions-marked by intensification, transgression, and going to the limit- disrupt conventional understanding and invite readers into a transformative process of disorientation and reorientation. This process fosters a renewed perception of reality and identity in relation to the "Kingdom of God," as exemplified in the interpretation of the Good Samaritan parable. Theologically speaking, this process also coincides with the Holy Spirit's role in guiding understanding and the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the foundational root metaphor that underpins the parables' transformative power. Discerning the truth of the "Kingdom of God" involves integrating personal narratives, the parables' structure, the broader biblical narrative, and socio-cultural contexts. Ultimately, the article advocates for a Ricoeurian approach to reading Jesus' parables, enabling believers to encounter the profound "limit experiences" these narratives evoke, and thereby deepening their understanding of the "Kingdom of God." |
