| 英文摘要 | In this paper, I argue that the Christological interpretation of scripture held by the Christ-believing group in Luke-Acts is not inherently anti-Judaism, as some supersessionist scholars suggest. Rather, the identity of the ἐκκλησία is presented in the narrative as a Jewish sect that advocates its own sectarian interpretation of the sacred scripture of Israel. Considering Luke-Acts in terms of four salient beliefs, I indicate that the narrative of Luke-Acts reflects an early stage of the diverging process, one that can still be located within Judaism. I then show that the scriptural interpretation held by the ἐκκλησία reflects a "remnant-mentality" common in Second Temple Judaism. Through its scriptural interpretation, the ἐκκλησία locates itself in the prophetic tradition as extending God's ongoing revelation to Israel and offers an explanation to the unsatisfying reality that only a small number of Israelites have joined this remnant group. |
