| 英文摘要 | Although Paul Ricoeur was not a theologian, his writings have had a pervasive influence on theology. This article traces Ricoeur's influence and reception through four main movements in Anglophone theology. First and second, Ricoeur-inspired ideas played a crucial role in the famous war between the "Chicago school" and the "Yale school," yet this association branded Ricoeur as liberal and no friend of conservatives. Third, the retrieval of Ricoeur by Barthians who showed that his thought is not antithetical to conservative strands of Christianity. Fourth, the rejection of Ricoeur by the Radical Orthodoxy movement due to his rootedness in post-Kantian metaphysics. The article then critically evaluates these four schools, both in how well they understood Ricoeur and in how a Ricoeur-inspired theology might respond to each of them. It concludes by suggesting that Ricoeur's thought is amenable to a wide variety of theological schools, and precisely for that reason may serve as a useful ecumenical tool to reunite the Church. |
