| 英文摘要 | This study takes the Shuangxi Arboretum in Meinong, Kaohsiung, as its primary site to examine the significance of introducing eco-craft trail as a method in the contexts of nature conservation, socio-cultural practice, local memory, and cross-sectoral collaboration. The Shuangxi Arboretum was established during the Japanese colonial period as the Zhutoujiao Tropical Arboretum, where more than 270 species of tropical trees were introduced, and was later designated by the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency as the No. 2225 Natural Conservation Protected Forest. In recent years, the Pingtung Branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, the local organization Meinong People's Association, and the Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association have collaborated to introduce eco-craft trail methods to improve the arboretum's natural trails system. Focusing on the Elephant Apple Trail and the Shuangxi Cabin slope stabilization project, this study analyzes the application of eco-craft trail in the governance of a natural conservation protected forest. The findings show that eco-craft trail, which emphasize respect for ecological conditions, local cultural histories, routine maintenance, and public-private collaboration, can integrate participatory planning into trail assessment and alignment selection, link volunteers and corporate resources, and support implementation and long-term maintenance. Such practices enhance trail resilience, landscape integration, and governance quality, and demonstrate that eco-craft trail are not only technical works but also a place-based environmental practice. |
