| 英文摘要 | Objectives: This study aimed to explore the correlation between health knowledge and health behaviors among middle-aged and elderly people in Taiwan. Methods: This study focused on 3,812 middle-aged and elderly people aged 50 and above (inclusive). First, Multiple Linear Regression was used to analyze the relevant factors that affect the health literacy scores of the research subjects, and then Multiple Logistic Regression was used to analyze and find out the relevant factors that independently affect the health behaviors of middle-aged and elderly people. Results: In terms of health literacy scores, the older the age, the middle-aged and the elderly have lower health literacy scores, and the higher the education level, the higher the health literacy scores. According to the regression results, for every 1 point increase in health literacy, the middle-aged and older adults have lower health literacy scores. The odds of winning for the elderly who exercise and have a health checkup increase by 13.2% and 6.6% respectively. According to the regression results, for every 1 point increase in health awareness, the odds of the middle-aged and elderly smoking, eating betel nut, and drinking alcohol will decrease by 0.980%, 0.930%, and 0.930% respectively. An increase of 3.7%. Conclusions: The health literacy scores of middle-aged and elderly people over 65 years old (inclusive) and elementary school (inclusive) and under are low. Health literacy is an important factor affecting health behavior. About one-third of middle-aged and elderly people have smoking behaviors. It is recommended to maintain good hygiene. Units can organize more community health lectures and smoking cessation classes for the elderly to improve the health awareness of middle-aged and elderly people and reduce health-risk behaviors. |
