| 英文摘要 | With the concept of sustainable development gaining traction in healthcare systems worldwide, integrating the three dimensions of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) into core hospital operations has become an important issue for modern healthcare management. This paper focuses on the operating room (OR) and central sterile supply department (CSSD) as two resource-intensive and high-risk units, and proposes a practical ESG implementation framework consisting of self-assessment, target setting, and system development. It emphasizes that adopting ISO international standards should serve as an opportunity to standardize and optimize existing workflows, rather than forcing unnecessary changes merely to meet certification requirements. Through four real-world cases, this paper illustrates how ESG principles can drive process improvement and material management innovation in practice. Examples include replacing reusable textile drapes with disposable surgical drapes to reduce lint and infection risk, phasing out in-house EO sterilizers to improve occupational safety, using legally certified sterilization packaging materials instead of unapproved reusable cloths, and optimizing sterilization roll dimensions to reduce material waste and enhance work efficiency. The findings suggest that when clinical needs are aligned with structured governance systems, ESG can go beyond external reporting requirements and become a practical lever to strengthen quality, efficiency, and safety within healthcare institutions. |
