| 英文摘要 | As Artificial Intelligence (AI) grows rapidly and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) guide global education efforts, libraries are changing from "knowledge collections" into "centers for learning and thinking." This paper focuses on how libraries can help children build curiosity and scientific understanding through picture books, citizen science projects, maker activities, and family learning. Based on examples from Europe, the United States, and Japan, it suggests several ways to strengthen science education in libraries: linking exhibitions to SDG themes, using nonfiction text structures to improve reading skills, providing "Citizen Science Kits" and science board games for home learning, and training librarians and volunteers to lead STEAM activities with confidence. The study highlights that libraries are key places where children can read, explore, and think about science in daily life. By combining curation, reading, and discussion, libraries can become the "scientific heart" of the community-helping children and families learn to think critically and make informed choices in a fast-changing world. |
