| 英文摘要 | The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was jointly awarded to Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell, and Shimon Sakaguchi for their pioneering discoveries on peripheral immune tolerance. They revealed the mechanisms by which regulatory T cells (Tregs) recognize and control the immune system to prevent self-directed immune attacks, and identified the critical role of the FOXP3 gene in this process. These findings have profoundly reshaped our understanding of autoimmune diseases, tumor immunotherapy, and transplant immunology. This paper first presents the research history, mechanistic insights, and clinical application prospects of Tregs. It then explores, from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the implications of concepts such as "deficiency and excess", "yin and yang", and "upright and pathogenic qi" in immune regulation. Corresponding theories from classical TCM texts-including Huangdi Neijing, Shang Han Lun, and Jin Gui Yao Lue-are discussed, along with relevant herbal formulas. Finally, the paper presents discussions and conclusions on integrating TCM and Western medicine in clinical teaching and research. The 2025 Nobel-recognized research highlights the "way of yin and yang" within the human immune system, demonstrating that immunity is not solely an offensive force but also possesses a regulatory capacity that maintains internal balance. This discovery offers a molecular-level understanding of physiological equilibrium, bridging Western medical science and Eastern philosophical-medical concepts. TCM emphasizes the principle of "preserving upright qi to prevent invasion by pathogenic factors", which parallels the immune system's concept of self-tolerance and immunosurveillance. By combining contemporary immunological knowledge with TCM theories such as deficiency/excess, yin/yang, and qi and blood, this study explores the clinical potential of integrative applications. |
