| 英文摘要 | Photovoice is a research method that integrates visual images with narrative texts. This paper aims to explore the target groups and practical applications of photovoice in the field of social work, with particular attention to how this method enables diverse populations to express their experiences and needs. Through content analysis, five studies employing photovoice were examined to investigate their research processes, including the characteristics of participants, data collection methods, analytical approaches, ethical considerations, and forms of result presentation. The five selected studies all utilized photovoice as a core research method and involved a range of participant groups, including students, Black communities, immigrants, and youth from urban slums—highlighting the versatility of photovoice across diverse populations. While all studies used visual imagery as the primary data source, they varied in interview design and participant engagement. The publication formats also ranged from anonymous to identified contributions, and the ways in which research findings were presented reflected distinct methodological choices and contextual adaptations. This analysis suggests that photovoice not only supports a deeper understanding of service users' needs and lived realities but also enhances participants’ sense of agency and subjectivity. It serves as a valuable tool connecting practice, policy, and research. |
