| 英文摘要 | This case study focuses on the production line crisis faced by GHOME Technology. Through narrative analysis, this research deeply reveals how the company navigated through various stages of digital transformation during the crisis to plan and implement strategies for process optimization, digitization, and digital enhancement. The core problem faced by the company is rooted in the neglect of material management and quality inspection. As the industrial environment evolves, the detailed requirements for quality inspection have increased, rendering traditional manual visual inspection impractical. In contrast, existing automated inspection equipment has failed to achieve the required accuracy, further complicating quality control challenges. In this situation, the company’s managers conducted in-depth self-reflection and found a turning point. The investment in the new AOI inspection machine successfully increased the quality of production and gained customer’s satisfaction. This investment decision help GHOME gain the competitive advantage in their industry sector. This case implemented the definition of digital transformation in design for digital. GHOME decided to combine the concept of organizational change theory and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) model to ensure the smooth progress of digital transformation. This includes after evaluating solutions with return-on-investment analytics, company introducing more advanced automated inspection technology, and improvements to the workflow to enhance the efficiency, digital capability, and precision of the production line, thereby increasing the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders and achieving long-term sustainable operation. |
