| 英文摘要 | This paper examines how museums can foster dialogue and understanding between mainstream and marginalized groups through two core techniques: "empowerment" and "tuning." Using the National Museum of Taiwan History (NMTH) as a case study, this research explores how museums build trust with "movers" (including new immigrants and migrant workers), create safe spaces for them to share their stories and perspectives, and effectively convey their messages to diverse audiences. Museums play a crucial role in balancing different voices and facilitating cultural exchange through this process. Focusing on dialogue mechanisms from the perspective of "movers," this study highlights the museum's strategies for curating and educating audiences to evoke emotional resonance and critical reflection. It also clarifies "empowerment" as a strategy for providing support and capacity building, and "tuning" as an approach for adapting exhibition methods to audience experiences. This study demonstrates the practical impact of "empowerment" and "tuning" on two-way dialogue. Through the examples of the "Coming from All Directions" and "New Taiwanese" exhibitions, this paper delves into how museums use object and story collection as well as emotional narrative connections to enhance the shared memories of old and new residents, reshaping audience perceptions and awareness of issues related to "movers." The findings reveal that museums are not merely spaces for knowledge dissemination but also public arenas for fostering cultural inclusivity and reflection. Finally, the study proposes a framework for applying "empowerment" and "tuning" in museum practices, showing how these techniques enable effective communication in exhibitions and educational activities. By refining these dialogue strategies, museums can facilitate equitable discussions on social issues and serve as vital platforms for promoting cultural understanding and societal progress. |
