| 英文摘要 | Nanguan ( 南管) Music originated in ancient Quanzhou ( 泉州) and preserves the music form since the Sui ( 隋) and Tang ( 唐) Dynasties. After Nanguan was introduced to Taiwan, ensembles were established in various places among which temples were the most common. It is generally believed that gods like Nanguan Music, so it is often used in sacrificial ceremonies. In the Neimen ( 內門) Mountain area of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan, Xingxingzhuang ( 新興庄) Jishengshe ( 集 聲社) has been over a hundred years. It was established during the Japanese colonial period and originally belonged to Zizhu Temple ( 紫竹寺) in Neimen. It was later moved to Nanhai Zizhu Temple Why can Jishengshe in a remote mountain town continue to exist? When was it established and how does it operate? Through literature review and field interviews, this paper estimates that Jishengshe was founded around Taisho 9 (1920). The paper points out that the reason for its inheritance and continuation lies in its single-minded purpose. The performance includes the Guanyin Buddha ( 觀音佛祖) Pilgrimage and the worship ceremony held on the first and fifteenth day of each month. Secondly, the members of the ensemble are all locals and some librarians are related to each other, which helps to form a stable and sustainable inheritance. In addition, the temple provides fixed financial support to maintain the operation of the ensemble. Finally, the librarians regard participating in the god worship ceremony as a mission and are grateful to Guanyin Buddha for his blessing, so they insist on the traditional performance form. This persistence may seem conservative, but they are an important reason why Jishengshe can be passed down to this day without being affected by the external environment. The ensemble also actively cultivates the next generation to continue the tradition and cope with the problems of low birthrate and aging population in recent years. |
