| 英文摘要 | Throughout the world, the prevalence of aging populations is steadily increasing, making it a global phenomenon. In Taiwan, the government has promoted "Community Care Stations" to support aging in place for older adults. However, the sustainability of these services is challenged by the aging of volunteers, limited and unchanging service content, and a lack of innovation, making it difficult to continuously attract elders' participation and often overlooking users' needs. This study adopts empowerment as the intervention strategy, utilizing the formation of a percussion band as a means of community practice to explore the participation process and transformation among community-dwelling older adults. Action research was conducted over a six-month period with 14 elder participants. The study traversed various phases, from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to the eventual stabilization of the group, regular rehearsals, and the creation and performance of new musical pieces.Percussion was chosen as the intervention tool because its rhythms and beats require coordinated bodily movement, which benefits health promotion. The band, as a form of collective creation, fosters teamwork and interpersonal connections among members, thus enhancing internal cohesion within the community. This model, moving from individual empowerment to community practice, provides a valuable reference for the development of community-based health promotion activities for the elderly. |
