| 英文摘要 | The relationship between the study of Yi and historiography is closely intertwined. Within the Yi tradition, there are two main approaches regarding its relationship with history. The first approach is "using history to annotate Yi: on the grounds that Yi contains historical elements, it focuses on interpreting ancient history recorded in the hexagram and line texts. The second approach is "using history to validate Yi." Scholars of this approach draw upon various historical events to confirm and elucidate the principles and teachings of Yi, presenting the philosophical meaning of the classic through historical facts. The latter approach flourished during the Song Dynasty, with scholars such as Li Guang, Yang Wanli, and Li Qi extensively practicing it. It was even categorized as the "history sect of Yi-ology" in The Imperial Catalogue of the Four Treasuries. Using history to validate Yi remained an important hermeneutic approach during the Qing Dynasty. A renowned linguistic and philological scholar during the Qing Dynasty, Zhu Junsheng's work Liushisi Gua Jingjie has received relatively little attention. According to Zhu Shiche, Zhu Junsheng was highly knowledgeable in the study of the classics, well-versed in various schools of thought, and achieved a particularly profound understanding of Yi. Among his numerous works on Yi, Liushisi Gua Jingjie was considered the most important. This paper examines Zhu Junsheng's approach to interpreting Yi in his Liushisi Gua Jingjie and finds that he followed the traditions of using history to annotate and validate Yi. By extensively employing historical evidence to support his interpretations, However, deviating from the common practice of using history to validate Yi, Zhu Junsheng was influenced by the Qing scholar's proposition that classics and historiography shared the same origin and that the six classics were all historical works. Building on Qian Daxin's idea of the inseparability of classics and historiography, Zhu Junsheng integrates the two disciplines in his interpretation of Yi, thereby reflecting a harmonious fusion of classics and historiography. This paper compares the "history sect of Yi-ology" in the Song Dynasty with Zhu Junsheng's Liushisi Gua Jingjie to elucidate Zhu's views on the relationship between classics and historiography. |
